Serving size versus amount per unit
A bottle may display the amount per serving rather than per capsule. If a serving is two capsules, the quantity shown usually represents those two together. Check servings per container to estimate how long the bottle lasts.
Ingredient form matters
Minerals can appear as different compounds, and botanical ingredients may be powders or standardized extracts. Research on one form cannot always be applied to another.
Daily Value
A percentage Daily Value offers nutritional context for nutrients with an established value. The absence of a Daily Value does not prove that an ingredient is ineffective or especially powerful; it means a value has not been established in that labeling framework.
Proprietary blends
A blend may disclose a total amount while withholding the quantity of each component. This makes it difficult to compare studied doses, identify the dominant ingredient or assess value.
Other ingredients
Capsule material, colors, flow agents, flavors and other non-active ingredients belong in a complete review, especially for people with dietary restrictions or sensitivities.
Warnings and directions
Directions show intended use, not a guarantee of safety for every person. Warnings should be read alongside medication, condition, pregnancy, breastfeeding and surgery considerations.
